Could Use Your Help If You Are Able!!

It’s been a rough year.  In January I had heart surgery.  Recovery was going well until it wasn’t, and I required a life flight back to the hospital.  First thing I learned:  Life flights are expensive!  Over $90,000 expensive.  Fortunately, insurance covered most, but not all of it.  Second, Life is short.  Enjoy the journey!  Which brings me to the purpose of this communication.  I have way too many dahlias and they are requiring way more time than I want to give them.  They are hampering my journey.  I know that sounds like treason, but really, I’m blessed to already have a full-time job.   I need my hobbies to be relaxing not stress inducing.  So… that being said, I need to sell some excess tubers.  And that is where you come in.  I’m hoping you have room for more blooms in your garden this summer.  I’m also hoping you like what you see, and you will forward this email to all of your friends:)

I have put together a PDF of what is left unplanted.  Most have limited quantities, some have an abundance.  Pictured below are three of my favorites: NJ72-Yellow Feather, Razz, NJ63-Tickled Pink.  I have an abundance of all three.

The complete PDF and pricing can be found here.

It isn’t listed on the PDF, but if you order before midnight on June 6, I will give you a 10% discount on orders of $50-$99, 15% discount on orders of $100-$149, and 20% discount on orders over $150.  Just add a note that says SEASON DISCOUNT when you email me your wish list.

A note about the naming convention:  If the flower has a normal name, ie “Fancy Pants”, then it is a flower that has been introduced to the Dahlia Society.  If the name starts with NJ (which stands for Neal & Janet – that’s hubby & me) it is a flower that has been hybridized by Mike & Kathy Iler but has not been officially introduced to the society.  Typically, they are called seedlings.  Some of them have perfect form and are worthy of being introduced.  Many don’t have perfect form, but I think they are beautiful, and I don’t have the heart to throw them in the dumpster.

You have lots of options for submitting your order.  All of them involve sending me an email.

Option 1:  Download/Print the last 3 pages of the PDF.  With a pen, legibly write in what you want.  Be certain to include your shipping address and phone number.  I rarely call your phone number, but I like to have it in case something odd comes up with your order.  It is easier to work it out if I can call you.  Once you have filled out the order form, scan it or take a picture and email it to “info at Rileyblossom dot COM”.

Option 2:  If you have software that will let you fill in the form, by all means use it.  Once complete, email it to “info at Rileyblossom dot COM” as an attachment.

Option 3:  Forget the form, just email your wish list to “info at Rileyblossom dot COM”.  Be certain to include your shipping address and phone number.

How Payment Works

The credit card companies have a wonderful money-making system. Every time you purchase something with your credit card the credit company take a percentage.  Typically, that percentage is roughly 4%.  If I take your money and then discover I can’t fill your order completely, I have to refund your money.  When I refund your money, I have to pay another 4% for the privilege of using their system.  In total, I would lose 8% of a sale that really was never a sale.  It was just a wish.  To limit those losses, I don’t take any money until I know what I can deliver and what the shipping will be.  Once I know those numbers, I create an invoice via PayPal.  PayPal sends the invoice via email.  When you see it, you review it for correct address and correct order items and quantities.  If you agree it is correct, you pay via credit card.  PayPal sends me a message telling me the invoice has been paid, please ship the product.  Once I see that, I purchase the shipping label, and your flowers should be on your doorstep in 3 – 5 days.
